East India company started conspiracies against the Nawab. They used the wealth to buy the military commanders of the Nawab. A very close friend and minister of Nawab Mir Syed Jafar became treacherous. During the war of Plassey, he planned a betrayal and caused the defeat of Nawab Siraj.
